World War II Day

On Monday, as part of our creative curriculum, we further inspired our Year 6 children by hosting a World War II Day linked to their history topic.

To add to the excitement, our children embraced the suggestion of attending school in costume dressed either as an evacuee chid from World War II or a civilian adult from the 1940s.

The day consisted of fun activities across all lessons, focused on this key time in history and allowed the children to immerse themselves fully in the experience.

It was a wonderful experience; a definite highlight was cooking carrot muffins from a WWII recipe in our Food Technology rooms.
