Chemistry Week

This week, we celebrated Chemistry Week at Samuel Ryder Academy which was embraced across the whole school.

Secondary chemistry quizzes proved very popular and there were activities in form throughout the week.

Some of our Sixth-Form students worked with the Year 6 Primary children and had so much fun inspiring a love of chemistry!

Our Year 5 children worked with our A-Level Chemists and participated in making methane bubbles, building potato clocks, doing flame tests and enjoying demonstrations of mentos in coke and elephants’ toothpaste!
