KS4 French Normandy Residential

Some of our KS4 French students are currently enjoying an wonderful trip visiting the cultural and historical region of Normandy for 4 nights.

They are visiting some beautiful French cities to take in the local culture and way of life whilst having opportunities to practice speaking French in situ.

These include the stunning harbour town of Honfleur, the prestigious world heritage site of Mont St Michel and the cities of Caen and Bayeux, each having their own historical significance.

In addition, students will tour some of the most poignant places relevant to World War II history and the D-Day landings, including the American cemetery at Colleville, the 360 degree cinema at Arromanches and some of the D-Day landing beaches; this is an incredible opportunity to gain a better understanding of what happened on 6th June 1944.
