Samuel Ryder Academy has become a Voice 21 Oracy Centre of Excellence

Posted on 26/01/2024

We are thrilled to share that we have become a Voice 21 Oracy Centre of Excellence.

This is recognition from the national oracy charity, Voice 21, of the last three years of oracy provision we have provided throughout the whole school.

Being accredited as a Voice 21 Oracy Centre of Excellence is a milestone in the school’s oracy journey, recognising our achievement in delivering a sustained high-quality oracy education for our students.

We are the first Hertfordshire school to work towards the oracy excellence benchmarks and was one of only eleven schools to have our oracy achievements recognised in the most recent round of applications.

We will act as a beacon of good practice for over 1000 schools nationwide.

In Voice 21 Oracy Schools, students learn the oracy skills they need to succeed in school and in life.
