A-Level Physics CERN, Switzerland Residential

Posted on 10/01/2024

As part of Samuel Ryder Academy’s dedication to Physics learning, our A-Level Physics students were invited to take part in an incredibly exciting residential trip to Switzerland this week.

The group stayed in central Geneva from where they accessed a two-day trip to visit CERN, home of the Large Hadron Collider. A tour of facilities was included as well as the opportunity to take part in a workshop during which our students asked probing questions.

This was an incredible once-in-a-lifetime trip; CERN have very limited places available for students from any country and cap how many people per country can visit each year.

We thank CERN for a fantastic visit full of extraordinary science.
