The Pudding Stop Doughnut Competition
Posted on 14/07/2023Our Library Manager collaborated with The Pudding Stop to run a competition whereby students throughout the school were invited to design their own brand-new doughnut. There were so many brilliant entries so well done to all of our students who entered. Huge congratulations to our Year 5 student, Addison S, who won with her 'Cloud Lemon' doughnut!
On her design sheet, Addison wrote: “My flavours are a lemon curd filling and a dollop of icing on to glue down the meringue. I think my flavours will work because these ingredients go into a lemon meringue pie. My dad inspired me to do this design because his favourite dessert is lemon meringue pie and every time we go to The Pudding Stop it has sold out. So my dad told me to put it in a doughnut!”
Addison’s doughnut will be sold from Thursday for at least 2 weeks, and perhaps longer if it proves popular! The Pudding Stop will be donating £1 from the sale of every doughnut to Children with Cancer UK.
