Reception's Winter Walk Challenge
Posted on 29/01/2021In EYFS this week, we are feeling proud because the children enjoyed an exciting outdoor challenge as part of their home learning…
Apart from discovering specific places and items the aim was for the children to have fun outdoors, exercise and get out in the fresh air as part of their well being.
This was the task:
Last weekend, I took my dog Rolo for a long walk around Highfield park and we found lots of different hidden gems!
When you are out for your daily exercise can you find?
1. The orchard
2. The benches around a small tree
3. The Millennium Maze and totem pole
4. The football pitches
5. The little wooden fox
6. The Highfield park beacon
7. The little wooden snail
Click here to see a picture of the items above.
Let me know how many you can find?
If you would like to post photos of your walk on tapestry that would be great!
Have fun and happy exploring!
I really appreciated the positive feedback comments from the parents and the photos of the children having fun with this challenge.
I was especially impressed with William who set me a further challenge to find the bee and the wooden man.
One of the parents made me chuckle with the comment:
Miss Williams said: It was mandatory to jump in all of the puddles whilst completing this challenge! ( I think I actually said that!)
This challenge is open to all other Year groups at Samuel Ryder.
Enjoy!
