Great Bookish Bake-Off

The Great Bookish Bake-Off was back last week to much excitement across the school. Throughout the week, talented bakers in Years 7-10 and staff created cakes themed around a book. Cakes were judged on presentation, design, taste, texture, overall impression and enjoyment. Well done to all of the absolutely amazing students who represented their Houses in the House Talent Show this afternoon. The performances were incredibly impressive and it made the judges‘ job very difficult! Congratulations to Anisa N who won the competition for Bronte House and Joshua D who was the runner up for Dahl House.

Sophia was taking part in an event, My Maiden Speech, put on by our friends at the Speakers Trust. She was joined by other young people from their charity partners, who all spoke to the room of assembled peers, policy makers, their friends and families.

Her school, her parents who travelled to see her speak and all of us at Voice 21 couldn't have been more proud of her as she powerfully set out the impact of an inspiring and inclusive oracy education and demonstrated her own excellent speaking skills 🗣️

This Sunday, the new St Albans Spring Festival takes place on St Peter’s Street.
