Mathematics at Key Stage 4

The content of what is taught largely remains the same but is investigated further with a focus put on exam techniques including the quality of written communication. Students are entered for the EDEXCEL examinations and sit either Higher or Foundation tier depending on which is most suitable for each individual. There is no coursework involved and students sit two exams, a non-calculator and a calculator paper. We continue to regularly monitor and assess our students to ensure that everyone is reaching their potential and intervene when necessary to provide appropriate support and challenge for all.
