History at Key Stage 3

Students study History in Year 7 for two fifty minute lessons per week and for one fifty minute lesson per week in Year 8; we cover all main aspects of the National Curriculum and learn our topics chronologically; there is a special emphasis in the Department on empathy and trying to put ourselves in the shoes of our ancestors. What was life really like? Through our History lessons you will find out.

In Year 9 Students who have chosen History will study in-depth topics of Historical significance; an example of this is Crime and Punishment in Victorian England.
